The Columbia Valley Food Bank has launched a new way for you to support our work, through our Food Baskets for Families Campaign!

The Columbia Valley Food Bank provides clients 1 week worth of food to support the number of people in each household. Sometimes people need a little more assistance so we also provide a smaller emergency food basket once per month. Our Food Baskets for Families campaign allows donors to cover those costs too.

With food bank use increasing by 50% in 2023, and by an additional 39% as of July 2024, the need for our services has never been greater.

Coupled with the increase in cost of food, our monthly food purchasing budget is averaging $9000 per month in 2024.

We are providing our services to an average of 7% of the Columbia Valley, within our catchment area between Spillamacheen and Canal Flats. We average about 250 visits from people seeking hunger relief, each month.

Choose a household size from 1 to 8 people. Your donation covers the costs to purchase food items ranging from canned goods, meats, peanut butter, dry cereal and grain products, milk and eggs, as well fresh fruits and vegetables, and more.

We provide one week of food per household. When more support is needed, an Emergency Food Basket is a solution.
