On Friday, September 17th, the 3rd Annual Columbia Valley Classics Poker Run brought together 80 car enthusiasts to enjoy a fun day in Columbia Valley. The proceeds of this event were donated to the Columbia Valley Food Bank.
A cheque of $1,330 was presented this week to Columbia Food Bank Chair, Nesta Becker, Chair and board member, Steve Ladas, by Vicki Roberts from the Columbia Valley Classics Car Club and Katie Wallace from True Key Hotels & Resorts (sponsor of the event).
$500.00 was also collected from the participants themselves as they dropped donations in our can when they drew their poker cards!!
The CVFB would once again like to thank the following for their support as well as their commitment to help feed our community:
- Arnold Schaffer, of the Columbia Valley Classic Car Club and Katie Wallace from True Key Hotels & Resorts (sponsor of the event) and their teams for organizing this wonderful event
- The participants who rallied the troops to make this a fun day and so generously donated
